The movie Tangled

Nevaeh and Jayda [with their Tangled kiddie packs]

Nevaeh, Jayda, Caelyn and Zoraya after the movie.

My girls and I

What fun we had at the movies on Sunday for "Girls' day!". Every couple of months my friend Angelica and I, like to take our girls (ages 9, 8, 5 and 3) to a movie. This time we watched Tangled and I must say: I want it on DVD! Yes, it was that cute! I can still hear Caelyn and Jayda laughing out loud. They enjoyed it just as much. It still feels surreal when we hang out and take our daughters out too because we stop that not that long ago WE were TEENS cruising the mall and here we are at the mall trying to please our daughters. Time sure does fly!...because I still feel 15, yeah right. (sigh) And that is why I never forget how special those friends are; the ones that take time out of their day to want to hang out with us. Especially the kind of close friends that you can always pick back up where you left off! :) I always leave feeling more grateful because even though I may not have it all, my friends and family make me FEEL like that's all I need. Can't wait for our next movie date! <3

Meet Abraham

So Jayda has a "best friend" in her kindergarten class. His name is Abraham and this was them on his birthday a few weeks ago...

The story for today was Jayda told me she hit her head at the playground during recess. I of course always ask Did you tell your teacher? What did she say? What did she do? Especially when she tells me she was crying. So she continues to tell me her story. She said she was sitting down and Abraham walks up to her and says "Why are you crying?" Jayda answers, "Because I hit my head on the bars." Abraham says "Do you have a bump?" Jayda says "Yes." he says "I get bumps all the time too." Jayda then tells me "he put his hand on my back like this (while she pats my back) and then tries to take my hands away from my face and I was trying not to let him see me so then I start laughing and he makes me chase him." I laugh and say "So did you feel better after that, it stopped hurting?" she said "Yeah." and just like that she was all better! It makes me feel good that even though I can't be with her 24/7 to kiss her boo boos she already has good friends to help her through her day. Jayda is so likable at school she knows everyone so when she sees someone outside of school she says to me "Wait right here mom I gotta go say hi to my friend" and I stand there, waiting, thinking to myself, "Really. She's 5, what am I going to do with her later?!" Ay Jayda, her childhood stories could make me lots of money if I would write a book all about her. :)
