ONE YEAR OLD

All I can say is... It's been awesome! My kids complete me, my girls are the funnest of all and I have the sweet baby boy who turned ONE! It is crazy how that happened so fast and I will keep saying that each year as they get older cause it is it's CRAZY!! That BIG 9lb baby is no longer weeks and months but ONE YEAR OLD! It's....CRAZZZZY!!

Thinking about the cankle days and 24hr sickness...I MISS HIM IN MY BELLY. I miss being able to feel him kick and turn and just knowing he was inside ME and I could keep him safe, I miss that :) Nowadays I hear "Maaaaaaaa. Maaaaaaa." and I know he needs me :)

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo that represents my kids. I am unsure what I want, I was thinking Doves. They represent Love, Peace, Hope...Any other ideas?? For the time being I got this necklace made to have them with me at all times. When I see or feel it, it reminds me of them even more.

Nevaeh is now a Second grader!

She had "favorite hat/bubble day" So that explains all the bling-bling she is wearing. That's Nevaeh for you! :) Summer for her is officially here!

This was right after he had 2 1/2 slices of watermelon and was too wet and sticky to wipe off. It's much easier to just rip the diaper off and stick him in tub!

June 18th- Cruz's 1st birthday
July 4th- Nevaeh's 7th birthday
August 15th- Cheerleading season begins
August 23rd- OUR 5 year ANNIVERSARY!

~Yupp! 5 years of marriage and a few kids later we are still going strong! I wonder what special occasion he will have planned for us ;)


~With the Cheerleading, I will be this years head coach so Wish me Luck! I can't wait!!


~ For Cruz's birthday, the plan was to have it at The Little Gym BUT only if he was walking and Guess What? He's not. So plans are up in the air Grrrr. Is it cause he's a Boy? I heard boys tend to take longer in all they do and I am REALLY starting to believe that. I still love that boy with all my heart. He is so sweet.

Suh-suh-suh-sumeeeerrrr!!!

What to do? Sleep, Swim and Snowcones!!! :) My kids are pretty good at sleeping in, so YAY for more hours of sleep on my days off. Nevaeh is now a 2nd grader! She received a Reading and Singing award (Proud Mom) Which reminds me to post a video of her Talent show from 1st grade that she did this year! I'm excited for the pool time we will get to spend along with the snow cones runs that we Looove and late nights we get to stay up and do whatev, cause it's suh-suh-suh-summer! LOL. I want to get all Summer off Work! Not happening anythime soon, So until then I am counting down the days to Cruz's 1st Birthday this summer. June 18th 2009! Crazy to think it's only a 'few days' away. My kids are growing too fast :( On July 4th Nevaeh will be 7 and I will offically be a mother to a 7,4, and 1 year old. Tear.

Nevaeh's Talent Show 2009

We love to watch this! It was on my phone so it's a bit blurry. She got so many cheers and she was loving every minute of it! She's my 'lil superstar! She is already thinking of next years talent show and she has informed me that to be in the "Dance Club" at school she has to be in 2nd grade or up. So she let me know she was joining. No ifs/ands/ or buts about it!

That's our Jayda Bobayda! She makes us smile everyday. She is a smartass, yes I said it, and a comedian, but is always there first to hug and kiss you! She tells me she loves me everyday and tells me when I'm not loved so much.
"Momma, you said you were going to be nice to me, I not like you anymore."
or "Nebay, I'm gonna kick your ass."
OR "Cruuuz, don't do that, OK? Mommy's gonna spank you." I do not spank him.
Because of HER I started a journal and write all the bad, witty, funny words that come out of her tiny mouth. So later when she's 14 we can laugh ♥

2wks later the River called our names!

Being spontaneous is good, sometimes! Our plan was to "leave at 6am with a 5hr drive we should arrive to river by 11am head back by 6pm and be home by 11pm." Negative. My brother calls me at 12pm

Juan: "Lets leave at 2am instead."
Me: "OK. Why waste time sleeping when we can drive?"
Juan: "Yeah, we can stop and get breakfast somewhere and sleep at the river!".........

Arriving bright and early. 7am early :)

A few hours later...

..........Good idea at the time. Not 24 hrs later.
We arrived in New Braunfels at 7am left the river at 9pm and got home at 7am the NEXT morning. A 5hr drive turned into a 10hr one when..... WE WERE ALL TOO TIRED TO DRIVE BACK HOME! I told my husband (the driver) that I could help drive first so I did for about 2hrs and when it was his turn, he asked if it was OK to stop so we could sleep...I didn't care. I wanted to sleep just as much as him and most importantly LIVE to see another day. I did not need someone to fall asleep at the wheel.

After getting some well-needed sleep at a resting area my sister Daisy, says the most memorable quote of the trip.

Daisy: "Did we almost wreck or swerve?"
Linda: "No, Jay was asking me if I was OK to drive because he didn't want me to wreck or swerve"
Daisy: "Oh, cause all I was thinking was 'Man, I don't even care as long as I get to sleep."

You had to be there. We laughed forever! Like from Austin to Alvarado!! then Jay got pulled over! He was going 75mph in a 60, but got off with a Warning! Lucky. Oh those are the GOOD 'OL DAYS!

Floating the River!

At The Comal


"The Comal" as in the River that leads into the Guadalupe River and NOT the Mexican iron burner for tortillas! ( April!!) Our first trip to the river was Mother's day weekend in May. We stayed out of town relaxing in a cheap, clean, hotel spending quality time with the family! It included the Rugrats (pictured below), my Mom, Dad, sister, brother and his girlfriend.


Don't you just love kids? They always keep things so interesting. I would be bored without them, yet SkInner, so I don't know which one is better. I wasn't sure what to expect about being at the river all day, but to my surprise I LOVED IT! and would like to go back every 2 weeks. But that's impossible so 4 times a year will be good :) It's just so relaxing and when I say Relaxing it's so peaceful. The water is so clear you can look down and see fish floating! It gets packed with people, but they keep to themselves. The sun is just right and the cool water feels PERFECT!
