Fish Tank

Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com
We were offered this fish tank from a lady whose mom was going to be placed in a retirement home obviously we took it. It's a very good size, I have been wanting one for a while [bigger one] but this one would work. Off the subject for awhile: I realized, that people keep trying to give us pets lately, like Marley. Or things that a pet would need like a Fish Tank! I guess we just LOOK like that family that NEEDS more things to do. Not. Jay was telling me today that a lady he had to do a job for was trying to give him a FREE CAT! Like seriously, we do not run a barn! The thing about it all is Jay wants a cat now! Are you kidding me! We have 3 kids, a puppy and fish and now a CAT????? Neeeeeeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeeer. He did tell the lady that I HATE cats and I would never let him keep it and she couldn't understand how we have a dog indoors, but not want a cat? Stubborn lady was trying to brainwash Jay that cats are a lot cleaner, and easier to care for and come potty trained. Obviously it worked because he ALMOST brought it home, but KNEW he wouldn't have a home if he did LOL! All I could hear about that cat was Blah, Blah, Blah. When I see a cat all I think is Attack, Attack, Attack! I HATE cats. They freak me out. They must sense that I don't like them... but I don't care. I know what they are capable of I have seen patient's come in from being attacked by Cats. You know why?? Cause they are EVIL! Sooooo back to the fish tank.... we picked up the fish tank and Jay went to pick up Nevaeh from school they came and cleaned it and set it up. After Cruz and Jayda woke up from their nap we went to Petco and picked out 5 perfect fishes that would fit us best!

We had Jay's sharp looking fish.
My chic Zebra looking one.
Jayda and Nevaeh got the same fish, just different colors. Jayda's was Super active, just like her :) and Nevaeh picked hers because it "shined" that is soo Nay and we picked Cruz's first fish it was tiny and black.
So an hour and $80 later.....we came home. Jay finished his dinner quickly so he could hurry and let the fishes out of the bags and let them swim in the tank since the bag was in there also, so they could adjust to temp. Welllll about 30-45 minutes we noticed the shark looking one (Jay's fish) was starting to float! We took him out placed him in warmer water and it was too late! He died. But THEN! we saw the Momma fish go too, followed by ALL the other 3 fishes!! They were all dead! (scream!!) We are so sad. We did everything that they told us (except JAY did not check temp. like instructed to tsk.tsk.) so now they are gone and we have to explain to the girls what happened :((( it's just so sad.

I had taken some pictures before the incident, but now it only adds salt to the wound!! :(

My baby loves watching fishes! I'm buying more fishes and trying again!!

Catching up...

Nothing bothers me more than looking at a screen with little fingerprints all over them! Jayda knows how to work my computer...mind you she is only 3! She will stay on Barbie.Com for at least an hour and an half while I do my household duties, but I think it's becoming a problem since Nevaeh decided to BOOKMARK the site and now Jayda is on it like peanut butter on jelly!
Update for the last few days, I have been telling myself "Blogging tonight" and then I pass out like an old lady with her Old Man. Jay's 31st Birthday was 2 days ago that was 01.27.09 he turned 31...I just had to say it again because me and the whole family tease him about his age and call him an "Old Fart" which I think he is sexy for 31! jajajaja. Sooo I will post our pics of our dinner at P.F. Changs that's where we ate some yummy food and had some ice cream cake. Can you believe I forgot my camera that night?? I was so mad at myself, I never leave home with out that thing, but luckily my sister Daisy had hers. And that's how I got the pictures. She is OBSESSED with pictures (yes, more than I am.) Jay's dinner went good I'm glad my parents got to join us.

This is Jay acting like he was excited about cake.

That night was so COLD it iced the next day!

01.28.09 outside my house (it was worse than it looked)

I got to sleep in a few more hours than usual since that morning the clinic that I work at opened 2 hours later. Texas folks don't like that black ice Y'all! Jayda woke me up saying "it's SNOWMAN outside, Mommy!" she can be so cute sometimes! I think that was the only highlight of THAT day besides me having to work for 12hrs vs. 14hrs. Yaay! So that morning sucked! As I was walking to my car, I went to grab the door handle and my feet slid right below me on the dang ice and I fell right on my left knee catching myself with the left hand!!! I tried to juggle my coffee and purse at the same time when I went to get up and I fell, AGAIN!! I was so embarrassed because I looked to my right and there were at least 3 cars driving 5mph. I just wanted to lay there and hope they didn't see me, but I live right next to the busy street that is never dead. I just waved and did the nod thing that said "I'm OK, I'm alright. I got it, keep on driving"..just knowing they were laughing their asses off as Nevaeh did when I went back inside to tell my Mother-in-law what had happened!! I can laugh about it too, but my knee still doesn't find it funny as it is bruised with a big knot on it. Stupid Ice!

Hotel for Dogs

After working my 6 hrs this NICE, Sunday afternoon Angelica and I planned to take the girls to the movies. We went and watched Hotel for Dogs and it was a very cute movie.

Here are the girls waiting patiently (from Left to Right; Nevaeh, Jayda and Zoraya).

...so in the movie there were Lots of dogs, Duh! But it made me think of Marley and how I am glad that he came to us because honestly I believe that he would not be alive otherwise. I really want to make him a part of our family and it is taking all the patience I have to keep him. He was a stray and Jay had to take him to Veternarian about 2 weeks ago and we found that he had more problems than expected. First of all I just want to let you know that I have never been a dog owner. I didn't really grow up with pets...except for Daisy's fish that died and we had to flush down the toilet...but besides that my dad had 2 German Shepards that would stay outside All year round :( But inside dog in MY house?? Are you kidding me! I like to keep a clean house and I believe that cleaning up after my kids and a husband is enough hard work. When Marley came along it was different we feel like he is one of our kids now and we can't imagine being the previous owner and understanding how they have dogs living in the condition he was. He is just a puppy and was (because he has improved) in such bad health that the Vet didn't want to add to his sickness so we have to put the vaccines on hold until the Vet gives us the OK. Which is fine with me because we just want him to get well so he can be a happy puppy and the girls can start playing with him again. They haven't been able to come in close contact with him since the visit with the Vet.

The movie just reminded me how smart dogs can be as well as cute and loveable! So I am determined to keep Marley..at least until he is in good health and we will go from there :) So about the movie, there was a sad part in the movie that made Zoraya (Angelica's little girl) cry. Even I got teary eyed but she was so sweet. Usually I will ask Nevaeh "Are you crying?" and she saids "No I just have something in my eye" LOL. Zoraya just soaked the moment in as me and Angelica giggled quietly. We had a great time and I will post pictures of our girls having fun with their Mommies! I will have to end it here so I can prepare for tomorrow and pack diaper bag, lunches and layout Nevaeh's clothes for school because she will FLIP if she wakes up unprepared. Good Night.
ONE last pic of Nevaeh, Jayda and Zoraya after the movie =] Good Night.

He is 8 wks old and that would make HIM the New Guy. I will tell you much more about him later.

"Moooommy?!"
"I'm in here!"
"Can I have a juice? Please."
"Yes. In the kitchen!"

So like I was saying... Those kids are my life. They keep me so busy I don't have time to PEE! Literally. I always have somewhere to be, something to clean, someone to meet or a diaper to change, ALLLLWAYS!
I am married to a hard working Mexican named Jay. Here comes the picture...

He would do anything for his family. We are best friends and I love the way he loves me! I wanted to start a diary of some sort to just "tell my story"and honestly I find it to be a great form of therapy, so lets see where it takes us! I hear them calling me again...Until next time.
